Time: 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Activities: Educational Programs, Hike, Night event, Wildlife study Location: MacKenzie Center Come join the MacKenzie Educators to learn about Wisconsin owl species. From 5:30-6:30 p.m. will be an educational talk about owls. From 6:30-8:30 p.m. join us for a hike in the woods to search for owls. For the hike please dress for the weather and wear dark colors. Please meet at the Lodge parking lot for both activities.

Dear Maple Education Volunteers, The Maple Education Program Clean Up Day will be Tuesday April 9th from 9am – 10am. We will clean and pack up all of the maple materials for hibernation until the next maple season. At about 10:00 AM, some of the MacKenzie Staff will host a thank you pancake brunch in the MacKenzie Lodge. Work Day April 17 — Cork Wood and Brush Removal

Dear MacKenzie Friends and Volunteers, Resending this work day request from this past February when we had to cancel due to weather.  If you have been around the property this past Fall you would’ve seen a lot of trees and brush cleared by MacKenzie Staff, area DNR support and forestry contract workers (check out the bison road fence line).  The Friends and volunteers supported contracted invasive cork tree removal earlier last year and we want to have a work day…

Work, Play, Earth Day

April 22 “Work, Play, Earth Day” 9am-3pm Celebrate Earth Day by helping us remove invasive species, pick up litter, and participate in other activities. Individuals, businesses, school groups, and other organizations are all welcome to attend. This will be a drop-in event, so please stop by the Badger Den anytime between 9am-3pm to help with various projects.
