Volunteering: Outdoor Skills and Environmental Education

The MacKenzie Center welcomes adult volunteers to help instruct outdoor skills and environmental education programs.

Education volunteers will be trained in educational best practices and provided with lesson plans and hands-on instruction. We teach everything from tree identification to water quality to archery to ice fishing.

You can assist with a course that needs a lot of hands, and eventually, experienced education volunteers may even have the opportunity to lead a class at the Center on their own. Check out the Center’s current course offerings to see what sorts of classes you may be able to get involved with.
