SUMMARY:Wisconsin Wildlife Day
DESCRIPTION:Join a MacKenzie naturalist on a guided tour of the MacKenzie Wildlife Area to learn more about the animals that call this state home. As we explore and observe the animals\, we will learn about their unique adaptations that help them survive in Wisconsin. \nPlease meet the naturalist in the Badger Den parking lot to begin the tour. The tours will be an hour long\, with two sessions taking place. The first tour will begin promptly at 11 a.m.\, and the second will start at noon. The wildlife area has paved walking trails and is entirely outdoors\, so please dress for the weather and bring plenty of water and sun protection. \n\nTour 1: 11 a.m. – noon\nTour 2: Noon – 1 p.m.\n\nRegistration is required for this event to limit the number of people in the wildlife area at one time. Please call 608-635-8112 for more information or to register.

DESCRIPTION:What’s all the buzz around pollinators for anyway? Join us on Aug. 23\, and we’ll tell you! \nFollow a MacKenzie naturalist on a hike through the incredible prairies that inhabit the park. During this hike\, we will engage in understanding prairie ecosystems\, and the creatures that call them home. We hope to see you there! \nPlease dress for the weather with sunscreen\, hats\, sunglasses\, bug spray\, etc. \nUpon arrival\, please park in the Lodge parking lot. The naturalist will meet you there. The hike will be around 1 mile\, unshaded\, with minimal incline.
