Since 1981, the Friends of MacKenzie have relied on a community of members and donors to fulfill our mission to encourage, perpetuate and promote the work of natural resources and conservation education in Wisconsin, and to develop new concepts leading to expansion of the MacKenzie Center’s programs and physical facilities.Your donation to the Friends will help both youth and adults appreciate and understand Wisconsin’s natural resources, along with environmental issues unique to Wisconsin, protection, and management. Your gift will benefit programs at MacKenzie Center that provide individuals with the knowledge and skills to act as environmentally responsible citizens.

For an unrestricted gift that allows the Friends of MacKenzie to determine how to use the funds based on the most pressing needs, use the following language for your will and/or trust:

“I give to the Friends of MacKenzie, a nonprofit corporation currently located at P.O. Box 225, Poynette, WI 53955, or its successor thereto, _________ [written amount or percentage of the estate or description of property] for its unrestricted charitable use and purpose.”

To designate your provision for a particular purpose:

“I give to the Friends of MacKenzie, a nonprofit corporation currently located at P.O. Box 225, Poynette, WI 53955, or its successor thereto, _________ [written amount or percentage of the estate or description of property]. This gift should be used for (state purpose) if and so long as the Friends of MacKenzie determines that the need exists. If the Friends of MacKenzie shall determine at the outset or at a later time that the need does not exist, or no longer exists or for some reason it is not possible (or prudent) to administer my gift as originally intended, then the Friends of MacKenzie may, in its sole and uncontrolled discretion, direct the use of my bequest for a purpose related as closely as possible to that stated above.”

You may also consider designating the Friends of MacKenzie as the sole or partial beneficiary of your life insurance policy, retirement account (IRA, pension plan, 401(k), for example) or bank or brokerage accounts.
