Maple Volunteer Training Day
February 14, 2019 @ 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
It’s that time of year again! It’s early January… and here at the MacKenzie Center we’re already thinking about spring and maple sugaring season!
Each year we welcome over 1,200 participants to the Maple Program. We owe that success to dedicated volunteers who contribute thousands of hours to teach and bring this program to life each spring!
Have you ever wanted to learn how to collect and cook sap and finish it into syrup? This year is your chance! The Maple Program is a great volunteer opportunity to be a part of!
The MacKenzie Center needs volunteers in numerous positions; maple guide, interpreter, syrup maker and finisher. No previous experience is necessary. Training will be provided.
The Maple Program dates for 2019 are Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays the duration of the month of March (and possibly the last week in February). Volunteers are needed each day for morning and afternoon shifts.
Please email [email protected] or call (608) 635-8112 to confirm your participation this year! This helps us greatly with the planning process and gives us an idea of how many groups we can accommodate.
If you know of anyone who might be interested in volunteering to be a maple guide, interpreter, syrup maker or finisher, please feel free to forward them this information.
Please “Save the Date” on your calendar for our Maple Program Training Day.
